Premium Noni Plus
By Bob Lefavi, PhD, CSCS, CHES
Chairman, Changes Science Advisory Board

For 2,000 years, Polynesian and Tahitian populations passed on the health benefits of the Morinda citrifolia plant from generation to generation. This plant, also called "Noni" or "Nonu," was considered sacred for its healing abilities. While that's all interesting folklore, this plant couldn't be therapeutic, at least not by Western medical standards - or could it? Here's what the groups native to the area where Noni grows may have know all along.

Here's what the groups native to the area where Noni grows may have know all along.

For years, many researchers and users of Noni have claimed potent health benefits. This evidence seemed so strong that they have studied the means by which this happens. In 1996, Hirazumi and colleagues found that the process of "immunomodulation" helped bring about the anti-tumor activity of Noni juice. Immunomodulation refers to Noni's ability to help regulate and control the immune system, something that is very important in fighting cancer cells.

This team later found that the fruit juice of Morinda citrifolia (noni) contains a polysaccharide-rich substance (referred to as "noni-ppt") with antitumor activity. In addition, Wang and colleagues recently isolated a unique and novel trisaccharide fatty acid ester - along with two known glycosides - from the n-butanol-soluble fraction of the fruits of Noni. Structure determination was carried out by spectral techniques, which identified the substance as 2, 6-di-O-(beta-D-glucopyranosyl)-1-O-octanoyl-beta-D-glucopyranose. It is this substance found in Noni juice that appears to give Noni its unique health-promoting qualities.

Fighting Free Radicals

Changes Premium Noni also contains potent free radical fighters in its fruit extracts. These extracts contain potent antioxidant actions from the naturally occurring anthocyanins and flavonoids than can protect cells, keeping them from degeneration and aging. Specificaaly, anthocyanins (from anthocyanosides) help protect capillaries (small blood vessels) from free radical damage, thereby assisting in circulation.

In addition, Premium Noni includes standardized pomegranate extract, which contains ellagic acid - another substance known to promote good health. Ellagic acid has been described by many as having properties that may help reduce the likelihood of cancerous tumor development. This seems to be due to its very strong actions as a free radical fighter.

Digestive and Overall Health

As if that were not enough, Changes Premium Noni juice also contains Aloe, which has been used to treat many gastrointestinal disorders. Moreover, guava is added to complete this juice as a great overall health drink! Guava juice contains nutrients not often found in other fruits; it's the single best fruit for nutrient intake.

For the best of health, make Changes Premium Noni juice part of your daily diet!
