Changes Now
By Bob Lefavi, PhD, CSCS, CHES
Chairman, Changes Science Advisory Board

When it comes to weight loss, nothing succeeds like success.

What I mean by that is this: In the two decades I have been helping people lose weight, I have noticed that very often people need just a little bit of success just a small amount of weight loss to give them the confidence they need to continue their behavior modification program, thereby bringing about real, long-term weight loss.

I suppose this observation of mine is the first reason I think Changes Now may be so beneficial to long-term weight loss. Changes Now might give users the added boost needed to put one "over the top" even when it feels as if the overall weight management program is failing.
Here' s why: If there' s one thing we know about behavior modification and weight loss, it' s that the easier we make it on the person trying to lose weight, and the fewer temptations and decisions that person has to make to avoid unhealthy foods (the fewer places a person can go wrong), the greater the likelihood of long-term success. And that' s exactly what Changes Now does it reduces cravings by helping you feel full even when you may not have eaten that much. In essence, it takes away temptations; you don' t feel like you' re being deprived! That' s where success begins!

How does Changes Now reduce cravings? Well, that' s the second reason I like Changes Now.

As you may know, our sense of hunger and satisfaction is directly tied to two things: blood sugar level, and the expansion of our stomach. When it comes to blood sugar, health care professionals don' t like to manipulate that too much because insulin concentration increases and fat gets stored as a result of insulin' s actions. But the second mechanism provides us an opportunity to "fool" the body into thinking it has had enough to eat, thereby sending a message to the brain that we' re full.

You also may know that fiber, a very complex carbohydrate, is difficult to digest. In fact, only soluble fiber enters the bloodstream; insoluble fiber never gets absorbed and pushes all other foods along. The real key to fiber' s role in weight loss is that the body tries hard to digest it. The stomach will hold onto fiber for a relatively long time. This means you feel more full longer!

It' s simple, right? Well, on the surface it is. However, having the right mixture of fibers is critical. Changes Now uses a combination of soluble and insoluble fibers to bring about a feeling of fullness, thereby reducing food cravings. The Changes Now fiber complex promotes a feeling of satiation, while Glucomannan, an oriental fiber, may be effective in aiding weight loss. Even the oat fiber is a winner. It has other health benefits besides weight loss, having been shown to be associated with a decrease in serum lipid (fat) levels!

Need help on your road to a thinner you? Changes Now can give you that little boost you need to get started and maintain success.
